What should I do if the phone number provided doesn't exist?
If the phone number doesn't show up in Toast, please try looking up the email address. If neither can be found, the guest is likely NOT a member.
During a "lookup" in TOAST, guests can be searched for using either their phone number or email. If a match is not found using the phone number, attempting a search using the guest's email is advised.
If a match is still not found, it is probable that the guest is not enrolled in the Rewards program.
If the guest can login to their account, you can retrieve a 'card number' which is their loyalty account number, and you can switch the lookup field to card number to try that.
In such instances, the guest will be required to complete the sign-up process using the QR Code available on your in-store marketing materials.
If they are told they are already a guest when they attempt to sign-up, please collect their info, along with their check total and send in a support ticket so we can investigate.
