How to Review Your Promotional Emails

Understanding Promotions in Our System

When we talk about "promotions" in our platform, we're referring to the various auto-triggered emails that will be sent to your customers. Whether it's an offer email or an awareness message, these are all categorized as promotions—that's why you'll find them under the Promotions tab in your account.

Accessing Your Promotions for Review

Before your program officially launches, you'll need to review your promotional emails. Here's how to do it:

  1. Go to Campaign Manager
  2. Look for emails marked as "off" (this is normal during the pre-launch phase)
  3. Click the blue envelope button next to each promotion to preview it

What to Look For During Your Review

When reviewing each promotion, you'll notice:

  • Personalization tokens in square brackets (like [first name])
  • Buttons for online ordering and refer-a-friend features
  • Links to your Facebook and Instagram pages
  • Your restaurant's contact information

If you want to see exactly how the email will appear in an inbox, you can:

  • Click the "send" button within the preview
  • Enter your email address
  • Click "send" to receive a test copy

Key Promotions to Review

Make sure to check these important promotional emails:

  • Welcome email
  • Online ordering (if applicable)
  • Birthday offer
  • Customer referral invitation
  • Customer thank you
  • Winback emails
  • Halfway to reward reminders
  • Smart survey invitations

Don't worry if you see blank spaces where certain personalization tokens should be—these will be automatically filled with customer information when the actual emails are sent.

About Monthly E-Statement Campaigns

You might notice a monthly e-statement campaign in your account. This is typically a placeholder that we'll customize later, often by duplicating your welcome offer if we're sending to an existing customer list you've provided.

Final Approval Process

When we ask you to review your promotions, we're looking for your green light to move forward. This is your opportunity to:

  • Preview all email content
  • Check offer expiration dates and durations
  • Provide any specific feedback or requests for changes

The good news is that our standard copy and graphic layouts have been tested and perform extremely well, so major changes are rarely needed.
