How to create a custom survey?

This is how to create custom surveys that our team can implement in a promotion to gain valuable data from your Loyalty members.

Creating Custom Surveys in the Classic View

Custom surveys are a powerful way to gather information from your clients about virtually anything – from their beverage preferences to communication preferences and beyond. Unlike smart surveys (which require IT customization), these surveys can be easily created and managed by you directly.

Getting Started

  1. From your dashboard, locate the "Survey" option (found underneath the letters "ER" in "Manager") and click on it
  2. Select "Create a new survey"
  3. Choose a descriptive name for your survey (e.g., "Brandslam Pizza Subscription Team")
  4. Click "Create Survey"

Setting Up Incentives

Offering bonus points can significantly increase your response rate:

  • Select "Issue bonus points to card members upon survey completion"
  • A common incentive is 20-25 points
  • Points are automatically added to customer accounts immediately upon survey submission

Creating Questions

You can choose from five question types:

  1. Multiple-choice (one answer only) - Customer selects a single option
  2. Multiple-choice (multiple answers) - "Select all that apply" format
  3. Range of multiple-choice - Similar to multiple answers
  4. Drop-down list - Presents options in a drop-down menu
  5. Open text field - Allows customers to write free-form responses

Example Question Setup

For a pizza subscription survey:

  • Question: "Grand Slam would like to offer a 12-month pizza subscription. Would this interest you or not?"
  • Answer options (enter one per line):
    • "Yes, I'd love a pizza a month"
    • "No, I don't eat pizza that often"
    • "Maybe, it depends on the price"
  • Make sure to select "Require an answer to this question" if needed
  • Click "Save"

Finalizing Your Survey

  • Review the preview of your question(s)
  • If you want to add more questions, click the "Add" button
  • When finished, click "I'm finished with this survey"

Monitoring Responses

Two types of reports are available:

  • Summary Report: Shows percentages for each answer option and total number of responses
  • Member Report: Shows individual responses

You can also generate links to place your survey on your website for additional responses.
